National Partnering Sponsors
Whirlpool Corporation shares Habitat for Humanity's belief that every family deserves a simple, decent, affordable home. Since 1999, Whirlpool has been one of Habitat for Humanity's largest corporate partners, donating a range and ENERGY STAR® qualified refrigerator to every new Habitat home built in North America, totaling more than 100,000 appliances and serving more than 50,000 Habitat partner families to date. Whirlpool has an active partnership with Habitat in 19 countries, and every year, thousands of Whirlpool employees volunteer their own time to Habitat builds around the world. In 2005, the company announced plans to support every Habitat home built globally by 2011, either through product donations, cash or volunteer support.
Habitat for Humanity is proud to have Whirlpool as a sponsor.
Valspar first began supporting Habitat in 1979, when this paint and coatings company provided paint and volunteer support to Habitat for Humanity Twin Cities. This successful partnership grew, and in 2002, Valspar launched a national partnership with Habitat for Humanity International with a commitment to offer a variety of exterior and interior paints to all U.S. affiliates.
Locally, Valspar provides all of the primer, topcoat paint and stains for Habitat for Humanity homes.
Dow lends support to Habitat in many ways, including house sponsorship, product donation and employee volunteer work crews at builds around the world. Since 1983, Dow and Habitat have cultivated a strong partnership, building and renovating homes for thousands of families in communities around the globe. Dow has generously contributed more than $20 million in gifts-in-kind products, grants and insulation for more than 25,000 homes worldwide.
The insulation and air barrier products provided by Dow are critical in meeting Energy Star ratings for Spartanburg Habitat homes.
Since 2006, every new Habitat for Humanity homeowner receives a set of house keys, with YALE Residential Security providing each of those keys and the locks they fasten. This partnership represents a five-year, $5 million commitment between ASSA ABLOY, the parent company of "YALE" brand locks, and Habitat for Humanity International.
The donation of quality interior and exterior locksets is an important component in providing safe, secure homes to Habitat for Humanity homeowners in Spartanburg.
For more than 17 years, window fashions manufacturer Hunter Douglas has provided thousands of sets of custom aluminum mini-blinds to U.S. affiliates. Today, this national partnership supplies window blinds for all privacy rooms in Habitat homes across the United States and Canada.
Hunter Douglas mini-blinds are provided in the bedrooms and bathrooms of all new Habitat for Humanity homes in Spartanburg.
Schneider Electric supports Habitat for Humanity International in its mission to eliminate poverty housing from the world. As a national partner and supporter of long-term Habitat for Humanity campaigns, Schneider Electric has donated more than $13 million in Square D by Schneider Electric and Juno by Schneider Electric residential electrical equipment for homes built in the U.S., Canada and Mexico since 2001. In 2006, the company renewed its commitment to Habitat with a pledge to donate $7 million worth of residential equipment for 22,500 houses through 2010.
Locally, all homes constructed by Habitat for Humanity have a Square D electrical panel, breakers and meter base.
