Habitat for Humanity of Spartanburg is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. Habitat Spartanburg will remain proactive to ensure the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, partners, and the people we serve.
As of March 19, Habitat Spartanburg has ceased volunteer work on our construction sites and in the ReStore. We hope to resume corporate and individual volunteer groups in the coming weeks and will update you when it's deemed safe to resume work.
The last day of ReStore operations will be Saturday, March 21. Although we have been vigilant and aggressive, Executive Director Lee Close, with support of the Board of Directions, made the difficult decision to close following guidance from Habitat International and after speaking with other statewide affiliates. We will reopen the ReStore as soon as it is safe to conduct business.
Habitat Spartanburg offices will remain open, however, no visitors will be allowed in the building. No Homeownership or Critical Home Repair applications will be accepted during this time.
Habitat Spartanburg appreciates the support of our volunteers, our ReStore customers and those who financially support our affiliate. We are hopeful the measures we are taking will allow us and others to resume operations quickly.
Those with questions should reach out to Lee Close, Executive Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 864.707.0233.
