Associate Director of Homeowner Engagement

Carrie Vaughn, Associate Director of Homeowner Engagement, has been with Habitat Spartanburg since October 2013.

During college, Carrie volunteered with Habitat Spartanburg, and she then served as the Volunteer Coordinator for 8½ years before entering her current role in Family Services. During her time as the Volunteer Coordinator, Carrie cultivated relationships with Homeownership Program participants during the Sweat Equity process and was a pivotal contact for Critical Home Repair Program participants during the project phase

As the Associate Director of Homeowner Engagement, she strives to give Habitat families the opportunity to learn valuable skills and community connections to help them succeed in homeownership.

“Working with so many homeowners from different backgrounds has allowed me to grow and connect with my community on a much deeper level,” Carrie said.

“Habitat for Humanity’s mission seeks to eliminate substandard living conditions for homeowners, and we build valuable relationships through hands-on experiences to collectively strengthen these families. Seeing the impact that Habitat for Humanity does on a broader scale, beyond just building houses, makes my job so much more rewarding.”
