Brooks Cochran is a resident of Spartanburg and graduate of Spartanburg High School. He and his wife, Mary Catherine, are members of First Presbyterian Church. He began his service on the Habitat for Humanity of Spartanburg Board in 2023. Brooks is committed to ensuring Spartanburg continues to be a great place to live for everyone in the community. He believes every family deserves an opportunity for homeownership and is passionate about growing Habitat for Humanity's presence in the community.

Brooks is the Director of Finance for Johnson Development Associates. Prior to joining JDA, Brooks was a Senior Manager of FP&A at American Credit Acceptance. Previous experience includes Bridgewater Associates & BNY Mellon in Westport, CT, Magnitude Capital, an investment management company in New York City, and two logistics startups in Charleston, SC. Brooks is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College. He graduated with Honors from the Darla Moore School of Business with a degree in International Business & Global Supply Chain Operations Management.
