Maddisen (Maddi) Currier is a nonprofit leader and fundraising professional with a passion for building relationships, strengthening communities, and advancing mission-driven organizations. As Director of Fund Development for Habitat for Humanity of Spartanburg, Maddi leads the organization's philanthropic strategy, donor engagement efforts, and resource development initiatives to support Habitat's mission of sparking generational change while transforming our community through affordable homeownership opportunities.

A proud Converse University graduate, Maddi brings more than a decade of development and leadership experience to her role. Prior to joining Habitat Spartanburg, she served as Associate Athletic Director of Development at the University of South Carolina Upstate, where she led fundraising initiatives supporting student-athlete success and institutional growth. She previously served as Director of Development at Hope Center for Children, overseeing fundraising and donor relations efforts while helping grow annual philanthropic support to more than $1.6 million.

Maddi holds a Master of Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida and the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential. She serves as President-Elect of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) South Carolina Piedmont Chapter and has been recognized for her leadership and commitment to community engagement, including being named OneSpartanburg Ambassador of the Year, recognized as a National Association of Athletic Development Directors Scholar,  and receiving the Association of Fundraising Professionals' Diverse Communities Scholar Award.

Originally from Middle Tennessee, Maddi has proudly called Spartanburg home for more than a decade. She lives with her wife and their two dogs and remains deeply committed to the organizations and initiatives that make Spartanburg a stronger, more vibrant community for all.

Habitat for Humanity of Spartanburg represents the kind of impact that lasts for generations. A home is more than four walls and a roof—it's stability, dignity, opportunity, and a foundation for the future. What inspires me most about Habitat's mission is that we're not simply building houses; we're helping families build equity, create brighter futures for their children, and break cycles that can persist for generations. The opportunity to spark generational change while transforming our community is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
