Artists from across the Upstate were presented with a challenge -- find a piece of furniture at the Habitat ReStore in Spartanburg and turn it into a work of art. The 52 pieces of exhibited artwork of upcycled donated furniture were later unveiled at the Upcycled Art Show June 20 at the Events at Drayton Mills. read more

Early Monday morning, The Johnson Group’s American Credit Acceptance and Habitat for Humanity of Spartanburg raised the first wall for a new home. The organizations will spend close to 2,000 volunteer hours building a much needed home for Esther Vargas and Domingo Villegas. The couple are retired and have been living in a mobile home with issues: interior structural damage and electrical and plumbing issues. read more

ONESPARTANBURG: American Credit Acceptance to Raise Walls on New Habitat Home in the Northside - August 1st 2019

American Credit Acceptance, a flagship Spartanburg corporation, will raise the walls on a Habitat home in the Northside Development Area on Aug. 5. Associates from American Credit Acceptance (ACA) will complete many of the 2,000 volunteer hours needed to build the home, which will last through January. The Johnson Group Community Fund will provide full home sponsorship ($70,000) for the project. read more

The groups are re-roofing Davis' aging East Main Street Extension home and addressing a crumbling chimney built more than a century ago as part of a new Habitat of Spartanburg Critical Home Repair program. read more
